Kevin Kuhn (b. 1981, Göttingen, Germany) studied Philosophy, Art History and Comparative Religious Studies at the University of Tübingen. In 2012 his debut novel Hikikomori was published, followed in 2017 by his second novel Liv. From 2010 to 2019 he was a research associate and lecturer in creative writing at the University of Hildesheim, with a focus on digitalised realities, the materiality of writing and the production of presence through literature. In 2019 Kuhn completed his PhD dissertation on the aesthetics of plotting and writing processes. His book Die Ästhetik des Romanentwurfs [‘The Aesthetics of the Novel Outline’] was published in July 2020 in the series “Zur Genealogie des Schreibens” at Wilhelm Fink Verlag, Brill.
     Kuhn has lived in diverse locations, including Mexico City, Berlin and Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington. As of 2022, he resides in Pully, Switzerland.
